DescriptionThis unsigned photograph of "Aunt" Molly Laney carding wool was taken by Doris Ulmann in 1933 or 1934. Laney is using cards to pull the wool fiber into line before it is spun. Laney family members were early students at the John C. Campbell Folk School and gave gifts of plants, flowers and trees to help start the school.
