DescriptionThis photograph of Edward F. Worst and his wife Evangeline Worst was taken during the summer of 1936 outside the Edward F. Worst Craft House, on the campus of Penland School of Handicrafts (now Penland School of Crafts) located near Penland, North Carolina. Edward Worst, a noted Chicago educator and weaver, taught weaving and simple bookbinding every summer at the craft school from 1929 to 1948.
