Description	The photograph taken on April 23, 1989, shows Harley Jolley, a Mars Hill College history professor, unveiling a North Carolina historical highway marker in honor of Frances Goodrich. The marker commemorates Goodrich's contributions to the Craft Revival that took place in western North Carolina during the late 1800s and early 1900s. The marker is found on N.C. 208 in Madison County, near Allanstand, N. C. Goodrich was a working with a Presbyterian mission in the Laurel area of Madison County when she started Allanstand Cottage Industries in 1896. She lived in Asheville from the 1910s until her death in 1944.
