Description	This 1917 photograph, taken by an unknown photographer, shows a wooden Noah's Ark set in the Tryon Toy-Makers and Wood-Carvers shop. Founders of Biltmore Estate Industries in Asheville, North Carolina, Eleanor Vance and Charlotte Yale moved to Tryon, N.C. in 1915 and established the Tryon Toy-Makers and Wood-Carvers. Vance and Yale trained local boys to carve in the attic workshop of a house called Hillcote. The carved and painted wooden toys, designed by Vance, were sold across the country.
