daughter

Wolfe
use
a
traditional
mortar
and
pestle
to
grind
corn
. The
mortar
is
made
from a
stump
; the
pestle
is
used
upright
to
pound
corn
or
chestnuts
into a
fine
powder
. The
two
children
with the
women
are
Mary
Wolfe's
children
,
Bill
and
Frances
. The

was

in
Big

on the

. The
