bark
.
Credit
is
given
to
Clementine
Douglas

Mrs
.
Connelly
[Emma
Conley]
, and
[Mrs.]
Matheny
for
concocting
several
of the
recipes
. The
handout
was
among
the
papers
of
Isadora
Williams
(1884-1976)
, a
student
at
Penland
during
the
1930s
and
1940s
. The
recipe
for
Indigo
seems
to be
stained
with a
bright
blue
sample
from that
particular
dye
pot
.
