Description	This promotional brochure advertises the Tryon Craft School, started by Charlotte Yale and Eleanor Vance in 1936. Yale and Vance began their craft teaching in Asheville, North Carolina with the Biltmore Estate Industries in 1901, and their move to Tryon, N.C. in 1915 where they established the Tryon Toy-Makers and Wood-Carvers. Here they instructed young people in woodworking and used the sales of toys and other decorative pieces to support the business for over twenty years. The business was transferred to new owners in 1936 when Yale and Vance began a new enterprise with the Tryon Craft School.
