Description	This is an early brochure for the Weaving Department of the Crossnore School in Crossnore, N.C. It includes a brief introduction to the program and production operations at Crossnore School as well as a price list from which items could be ordered. Included are photographs of the "Girls at Looms" and several of the overshot patterns worked at the school. In 1911, Drs. Eustace and Mary Martin Sloop arrived in rural Avery County, N.C. to provide medical care for local communities. In 1913, they started the Crossnore School. In 1920, the school added a weaving department to preserve a traditional craft and to provide income for local families. The school and weaving department still operate today.
